FIND YOUR RURAL IN THE SCOTTISH BORDERS

The Scottish Borders is one of the most accessible destinations in Scotland, featuring rolling hills, expansive countryside, and a scenic coastline. The area is steeped in history, boasting captivating abbeys, textile mills, and magnificent stately homes and castles.

However, the Scottish Borders has always traditionally been an agricultural region. Nowadays approximately 85% of the land here is used for farming purposes. As it is quite a large region, it is home to some diverse habitats which reflect the type of farming which occurs – from sheep rearing farms in the Southern Uplands, Lammermuir and Moorfoot Hills, to the rich arable areas of Roxburghshire and the Merse of Berwickshire.
